This was my first bike, and it was an Incredible experience to ride it, it was 2005 but got it in 2006, I bought it used from a very nice man in Seattle, Washington, I asked him that why he was selling it as it had very low mileage and it basically was brand new, he mentioned that he had another bike and that the GS500F bough it for his wife so they both rode together but she never wanted to.

The bike looks aggressive and I do consider it a great bike for beginners, it handles the curves at about 60 mph smooth and I felt very secured on it, it acelerates pretty fast, it is not to heavy as for a begginner I do consider dangerous to have a 600cc or a 1000cc, they feel heavy.

Unfortunately I only had it for about two months as I decided to move out of state.

For a person that does not race professionally this is a good bike to get,now don´t get me wrong you can use it to race, the bike might be heavy for a woman.

The GS500F was definitely cheap on gas as I have another bike from a different brand and I can see the difference in gas consuption and the other bike has a smaller engine.
