I started reading this book as I love an Incredible woman that has Lovely kids and I´m interested on her, I do not have any kids on my own but it´s always good to know how to raise kids if you are going to have a relationship with someone that does.

If you do a research on the book section of amazon.com for “parenting” you will find more than 180,000 titles, a lot of this books are based on what people think and/or their experience raising kids which I do consider it a very limited experience even if they have 10 kids.

I finished reading the book Raise Great Kids on January 9, 2018 and I do considered it a statistically well wroten book, it was written by Scientific American staff and is a Special Collector´s Edition specialized on the mind of newborns to teens.

The book shows a lot of reasearch through the decades with thosands of kids, the research has been done by many different researchers who also give you a lot of tips on how to treat your kids, they also give you exercises to practice with them and some they give for you to give to your kids so they do them themselves.

It also teaches you how to treat your kids so they become better human beings as well as students and by that they will have a superior acceptance by the society.

The sections on how the brain works at different ages is excellent, this sections are spreaded all over the book and it is very important as it tells you which zones of the brain are responsible of different behaviors, memory, concentration and more.

If you don´t have a kid with autism I would stay away from the chapter “Help for the Child with Autism” and also if you don´t have a child that suffers anxiety don´t read the chapter “Fear Not, Child” as well as if your infant is not shy avoid the chapter “Beyond Shyness”.

The chapters about teens are really good with statistics but they do not give you as many tips on what to do as the chapters for the younger children, so if you have a teen and want to know why they behave like they do, I do recommend this book, also if you need to know which are the brain sections responsibles of different behaviors, but if you need tips on how to raise a teen I would stronlgy recomend to get another book.

I have read about 50 articles of Scientific American magazine and I consider it the best Science magazine and I would Strongly recommend you to read this book, and not only read it but study it.
